Information Specialist
As information specialists, certified school librarians offer much expertise to promote student success (AASL & AECT). They do this by promoting students’ interests in reading, by helping students develop a range of information search strategies and abilities. In addition, certified school librarians teach students to be critical thinkers, how to be evaluators of the wide range of information that is available to them, and how to create products that demonstrate new learning and understanding (AASL & AECT).
