4th Grade Reference Review
In preparation for the SOL exam, I created and taught lesson that reviewed reference materials for 4th grade students. After the students completed the multiple choice worksheet that accompanyied this lesson, I found that some students needed more review, particularly of encyclopedias and almanacs. To help with students be better prepared for the SOL test, I created and taught another lesson, a re-review of reference materials. Those students who did not need further review, completed a reference materials scavenger hunt.

Kindergarten Nursery Rhyme Lesson
When this lesson was schedule, the book fair was being
set up in the library. I took my show on the road and
taught in the classroom. I didn't want to waste time bringing
up a flipchart, so I made an anchor chart instead. The class
objectives were written on the opposite side.
